    Apartment 614 occupies the top two floors of the Auberge Jérôme, in the very heart of Arc 1950 — a five-star village that is entirely pedestrian and entirely ski-in, ski-out. Push the door open and you find a fireplace waiting to be lit, a long table for eight, three bedrooms tucked under the roof, and a balcony looking the Mont-Blanc straight in the eye.

    The lift is a two-minute walk away. Arc 1950 opens onto Les Arcs, and the Vanoise Express takes you across to La Plagne in four minutes: the second largest ski area in the world, without ever taking the car. From the village at 1,950 m up to the Aiguille Rouge at 3,226 m.
